Periodontal Maintenance

Service Description

This 60-minute therapeutic appointment is designed for patients who have previously been treated for periodontal (gum) disease through scaling and root planing or periodontal surgery. I’ll review any changes in your health history, reassess your periodontal health, remove plaque and calculus above and below the gumline, polish when appropriate, and provide personalized home-care recommendations to help maintain your periodontal health. Periodontal maintenance is typically recommended every three to four months, depending on your individual needs. If changes or areas of concern are identified, I’ll explain my findings and recommend appropriate treatment or follow-up care with a dentist or periodontist when needed. Periodontal Maintenance: $175 Dental X-rays and an examination by a dentist are not included.
